My siblings, their friends, and I went canoeing the other day and had a blast! I haven't been canoeing in a while and it was quite the adventure with a bunch of fun people who are crazy in having fun.

Summer Camping

Birthdays Spent With Him

Today was the day God brought me into this world. Today I am 17! And I have decided something. 

Birthdays are only special when they are spent with the One who created you.

And that is what I have done today, and He has made it more special than all the gifts and cards, and birthday wishes in the world could ever make it. He has created me, He is my Father, and I praise Him for I am fearfully and wonderfully made! (Psalm 139:13)

Summer is on its way and I am getting excited about warm weather, days by the water, late nights playing Frisbee with friends, bonfires every night, flip-flops, driving with the windows down, and all the rest summer brings. What are you most excited about with summer coming?

Starting Fresh

As you can tell I've been doing some work on my blog! Changing the header, the template, and such. I've decided I kind of miss blogging. I know I've posted here and there, but believe it or not I use to be quite a devoted blogger posting every few days. Well, life got busy, blogging seemed not so interesting anymore so I dropped out of the blogging world. Even was thinking about deleting my blogs since I didn't use them! But then the last few weeks blogging and posting caught my eye again. And well, long story short, I decided to come back and am going to start fresh with redoing my blogs and getting back into posting more! Hope you're as excited as I am ;) I've lost quite a lot of followers, viewers, and commenters in my going away, but I hope I will begin to gain back new friends!

Seeking His Kingdom

|I Long To Be In His Presence|

One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple.
                   Psalm 27:4

What if our biggest longing, our most calling out to God was just to be in His presence all the days of our lives?
Sometimes I get caught up when I pray. I pray for God to help me with this or that, get me out of this little awkward situation, help me to be a better person, and so on. There's nothing wrong with asking God earnestly for things. But so often the only time I pray is for things like this.
When simply, David prayed earnestly just to be in God's presence. What if we all prayed more to be in God's presence all the days of our lives? What if we actually longed to see God's beauty like this verse talks about?

For in God's presence we are made whole. We are radiant with His love and light, basking in His holy presence we are changed to want to be more like Him. A deep desire in us rises to want to be more like Him, fleeing from darkness and basking in His light when we stand in His presence.
In His presence there is fullness of joy! (Psalm 16:11). In His presence we are abundantly filled and never wanting, but content with His overflowing presence and love.
To be in His presence gazing upon His beauty for literally all my life...what a powerful and life changing picture...
